Piegal is an online portal for goodness. Sounds very simple but simple is the point.

Established in 2005 by husband and wife team Menka Sethi and Billy Riggs to highlight Menka’s pie-making expertise, the content has expanded to all sorts of gourmet organic treats, homemade crafts, simple treasures — sugar and spice and everything nice.

The premise was (and continues to be) very straightforward: the highest quality, local seasonal fruit encased in a crust of your choice – the specialty being a combined butter and olive oil crust picked up from Menka’s undergraduate study in Italy, while drawing on unique mix of Midwestern, home-style fare and an Indian culinary heritage.

We pride ourselves in being urban aficionados and adventurers and recognize the need for the connection to the rural — eating and living locally with respect for nature and others.
